Preferences & Permissions

shipping; Scully is the emotionally unavailable poster child for slow burn, so shipping with her is like pulling teeth. Unless you play Mulder, in which case it will be like pulling teeth but with more tender face touching and forehead kissing built in, as is customary among platonic coworkers.

I love writing flirting / UST / pining. I am not interested in assumed preexisting romantic CR (with the exception of canon characters/events). I don't write smut on memes. To the (limited) extent I'm open to shipping, Scully is OTA though primarily tends towards m/f.

I'll admit I have been a Mulder/Scully shipper since the early '90s, so she tends to pine. sorrynotsorry

out of character; Willing to play with canonmates, cross-canon, and OCs. I don't mind backtagging or slow-tagging, I'm happy to talk about PSLs or specific scenes. I'm canonblind to most popular things these days and often have a hard time figuring out how to AU two things together so suggestions are always welcome!

Fourthwalling is OK but not my preference. (Scully will probably assume your character is delusional anyway.) If we can make it make sense for the setting I am up for old-school shenanigans like lookalikes, alternate canon points, and so forth.

She's short, slight, but pretty fit. Usually wears a dark suit, equally likely to be skirt or pants, equally likely to be a white button-down or colorful blouse. Almost always has a gold cross necklace on. If circumstances allow, her makeup is immaculate. If circumstances don't allow, you might see her freckles.

↬ Mannerisms

In normal interaction, calm and neutral is her go-to demeanor; she's used to taking control of high-stress situations. She's not afraid to tell you when she's pissed off, though. It takes a lot to rattle her, but when she's afraid she can get a little jumpy. When she's feeling vulnerable, well, usually she tries to run the hell away.

• per XF canon, characters who can see how/when people die may perceive that Scully. . . won't. IMO this information is freely available to bring up if your character could/would sense it. Ask if you need more details.

• broadly, mind-readers etc will probably notice that she is usually way more calm and collected externally than she feels internally.

She has a tattoo of an ouroborous at the base of her spine; she has a small scar on the back of her neck from an implant that was removed and then replaced. Depending on canon point, she may have a gunshot scar on the left side of her abdomen.
